Don’t stop.
One of the pillars of personality development is exercise and sport. There are many reasons for this. Children who can keep up with sports are better off in terms of social acceptance. In addition, sporting success has a fundamentally positive effect on self-esteem. Skill and agility are promoted through sport and exercise. This is why it is so important to gently introduce children to sports. Because if the expectations of the environment are clearly too high, this can quickly turn into the exact opposite.
Then children react with rejection. Nobody likes to do something for which they only get criticism. This is why it is so important to encourage and challenge, motivate and inspire at this point to set the course.
But sport is only one component. To get one’s self-esteem only from sport has a very one-sided effect on endurance. At best, things should be in a good relationship with each other. But when sport becomes a passion and the musical instrument loses interest, things should not be in competition. Because every passion deserves to be encouraged.
