One of the pillars of perso­na­lity deve­lo­p­ment is exer­cise and sport. There are many reasons for this. Child­ren who can keep up with sports are better off in terms of social accep­tance. In addi­tion, sport­ing success has a funda­men­tally posi­tive effect on self-esteem. Skill and agility are promo­ted through sport and exer­cise. This is why it is so important to gently intro­duce child­ren to sports. Because if the expec­ta­ti­ons of the envi­ron­ment are clearly too high, this can quickly turn into the exact opposite.
Then child­ren react with rejec­tion. Nobody likes to do some­thing for which they only get criti­cism. This is why it is so important to encou­rage and chall­enge, moti­vate and inspire at this point to set the course.
But sport is only one compo­nent. To get one’s self-esteem only from sport has a very one-sided effect on endu­rance. At best, things should be in a good rela­ti­onship with each other. But when sport beco­mes a passion and the musi­cal instru­ment loses inte­rest, things should not be in compe­ti­tion. Because every passion deser­ves to be encouraged.
